Senior Project Manager, Battery Storage, Wind and Solar PV reconcept Canada

Mohamad Chehab’s experience spans over 30 years and covers project development, project management, engineering and leadership in the fields of renewable energy, energy efficiency and large-scale electromechanical projects.

Mohamad’s journey in the renewable energy field started in the mid 1990s when he conducted in-depth studies in the feasibility and project development of solar thermal and solar absorption cooling systems for various climates and market conditions in the Middle East.

In the past 20 years, Mohamad has led renewable energy projects of various sizes up to $230M including commercial and utility-scale solar PV, battery energy storage, and solar thermal projects in the provinces of Ontario and Alberta. He managed the transition from development to execution, led the execution and handover to operations through staged quality gate processes that led to efficient, cost effective and successful projects.

Mohamad is currently a Senior Project Manager at reconcept Canada working on various battery energy storage, solar and wind projects development. In his most recent role at Capstone Infrastructure, Mohamad led the execution of around 200MW of solar PV projects as well as the development and permitting of battery energy storage projects.

Mohamad has an MBA in Global Energy from the University of Warwick in the United Kingdom, through which he focused on renewable energy in Ontario. He is a licenced Professional Engineer in the Province of Ontario and has PMP and CEM certifications.
